D’nokasi Fashion Shoot

I had initially gone to photograph a fashion project but I was so taken by the warmth, kindness and reception of the community that this quickly became a documentary project which took place over 2 weeks.

Close friend and fellow artist Bobby and I had initially planned to do a shoot which promoted his local textile work and authentic fashion.

While Bobby’s work ended up being a prominent feature of this body of work so too did Bobby himself as well as the children, fellow artists and friends of his who captivated me with their endless talents and diverse heritage.
